A Celtic cross marks Henry Mason [44] Headmaster of the now demolished Rottingdean School [view] (originally designed by Samuel Thacker [10]). The card illustrated bears his signature. This school was originally sited in St. Aubyn's [view] in 1887 but moved to its new site in 1894. The school building on the St. Aubyn's site was later run by Headmaster Robert Lang [28].
